Young Jeezy Named Senior Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records

Young Jeezy will be taking on a new role in the music industry, as he has been named Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records.

The news was tweeted by his production coordinator, DJ Folk, and retweeted by the Snowman himself. Folk confirmed with Complex that the news is in fact true.

Although Jeezy has since deleted his own tweet about the promotion, he did confirm the rumors by saying, “From the streets to the Boardroom. SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records I am. Let’s Get it! #itsthaworld.” As of yet, we don’t have any details about what the job will entail, but being in this position, Jeezy will be able to sign artists to the label as well as help develop their projects.

More details are sure to follow, but for now that’s all the information we have. The announcement was made by Greg Street in Atlanta on V103.
