6. Vintage Glamour
Considering that the evening was organized to celebrate the legacy of two historic fashion figures, it was only right that celebrities had the opportunity to pay homage to these powerful women through their clothing choice. During their individual red carpet interviews, each starlet, Coco Rocha, Sara Jessica Parker and Kirsten Dundst raved about their classic dresses

5. Women in Black
A huge trend on the red carpet, these four women wore their own rendition of the Little Black Dress. Adding a touch of sexiness and mystery, Janelle Monáe, Rosario Dawson, Gisele Bundchen, and Rihanna killed the red carpet! Shout out to Rihanna for bringing up the rear, she was one of the LAST people to arrive to the gala.
Designers include: Calvin Klein (Rosario), Givenchy (Gisele), and Tom Ford (Rihanna)
4. Vamp It Up
Not only are we lovers of physical garments, hair and make-up both play a vital role in making those garments standout. Lana Del Rey and Camilla Belle brought the “Vampy” trend to the MET gala and looked absolutely amazing! To compliment her new dark hair, Lana darkened her lip color and added a chic cape; while Camilla emphasized the sexiness and drama of her dress with a dark lip color as well.
Designers include: Joseph Altuzarra (Lana), and Ralph Lauren (Camilla)
3. Designer Couples
You would think that celebrities would have stepped out last night in so much style that it outdid the designers who were also in attendance. We hate to burst your bubble but they were some of the most polished, elegant, and beautifully styled individuals there. Oh and of course their dates were stunning as well. Tom Ford (with Chanel Iman in his own creation) and Zac Posen (with Amber Heard in an original design) were our absolute favorite. The photos should speak for themselves.

2. The Boss – Anna Wintour
We know, we know… How could we put the coordinator of the entire event second on our list?! Hey, it’s our honest opinion and while Anna stunned us all in a piece made exclusively by Miuccia Prada as an homage to Miss Elsa Schiaparelli’s famous “Lobster Dress”. She did NOT beat out our number one contender. We still love you Anna!

1. Queen Bey
We ALSO know what you’re saying… Beyonce?! Really?! Abso-frickin-lutely! Not only did she have us all in anticipation because she arrived about 20 minutes after the live coverage was over, but she wowed us all in this beautiful Givenchy gown. So many MET gala attendees were spotted in lace ensembles but this one takes the cake! Sheer lace and feathers never looked so chic. Everyone stand t0 your feet and give it up for the new mom. She’s still got it ladies and gentlemen, but hey did we expect any different?
