Peyton Manning signs 5-Year $96M Contract with Denver

Peyton picked his new NFL home yesterday, today he picked up his new contract–probably the last of his storied, Hall of Fame career.

A league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter this morning that Manning has OK’d a deal with the Denver Broncos that will pay him up to $96 million dollars over the course of  five years. Specific details of the contract have not been announced, but expect this to be loaded with plenty of performance and protection clauses (at Peyton’s request) designed to protect the Broncos in the event Manning is unable to perform.

A press conference to officially introduce Manning is scheduled to take place today at 3:00pm EST.
