Microsoft Introduces New “Surface” Tablet

As the competition against Apple’s famed iPad continues, Microsoft launches its own super skinny touch tablet. The tablet is especially thin, weighing in at under 1.5 pounds (the iPad weighs 1.44 pounds), and the screen is almost one whole inch bigger than the iPad’s.

The Microsoft tablet also features a 10.6-inch optically-bonded Gorilla Glass HD display joined by twin 2×2 MIMO antennas for WiFi capabilities and is physically supported by a convenient built-in kickstand, as well as one USB 2.0 input port. The Surface tablet is also only 9.3 mm thick.
